LET’s Learning Journal D – Learning Environment

In a previous entry, I have mentioned the concept of “Learning Environment” which refer to the whole (each and every) channel and source of information from which a learner draws information for his/her learning.

Located at the centre of modern society, this educational environment heavily relies on technology, digital, and the internet as a basis. The mean and mode of learning varied significantly, and followed that was the type of information and assessment method (if any; i.e. if a person decides they want to know more about the tiger. He or she can search for that on Google, Youtube, etc. There is no formal assessment offered, but that does not diminish the fact that they have learned something new). In terms of creating educational material on these channels, though, educators still need to consider the instructional design in order to enhance individual learning environments.

LET’s Learning Journal #5 Where do I see my future career path?

LET’s Learning Journal #4 Values, Ideas and Social Context of Education

LET’s Learning Journal – Walk The Talk

This week’s Scientific Grounding session was definitely among one of my favourite activities so far. We started the task by watching two videos prepared by two researchers in the LET Unit: Muhterem Dindar and Eetu Haataja explaining the main concept on “The evolution of human cognitive architecture”, “Metacognition’,’ and reading the two articles related to the concept. Following that were two team discussions which were allocated randomly so we would have a chance to discuss the concept and prepare questions for clarification.

LET’s Learning Journal A – Personal Learning Environment & Content Curation

So this week we have a self-studied session on the concept of Personal Learning Environment as well as Content Curation. These interestingly are the two things that we have been either exposed to already been doing without realising the technical term or having proper awareness to fully appreciate and exploit it further.
